Rules & Information

Camp Rules

  1. Check-in is between 14:00 PM and 18:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM unless prior arrangements have been made at the time of booking or with the manager.
  2. One caravan/boswa per site.
  3. Quiet hours are between 22:00 PM and 07:00 AM. NO LOUD MUSIC.
  4. Dogs allowed, please request our pet policy form at time of booking. Pets are restricted to their owners' campsites and must be leashed at all times.
  5. Speed limit 20 km/h — please be cautious in adverse weather conditions as there might be limited visibility and traction.
  6. No 4 wheelers (quad bikes) or noisy 2 wheelers (scramblers). Adventure/touring bikes welcome.
  7. Please bring your own braai grid, matches, firelighters, and mosquito repellant and a long garden hose for water points.
  8. Please respect other guests and keep facilities clean and tidy.
  9. Please follow all rules and notices posted on the property during your stay.
  10. One bag of firewood (~10kg) included with every campsite — enquire ahead of time for additional bags of firewood (R30 p/bag).
  11. Our campsite showers are operated by lamp oil burners. Please read the operation manual.
  12. If you encounter any problems, please report to our manager immediately.
  13. Mountain bikes are not available to rent — please bring your own. Helmets are mandatory at all times on the property.

By booking a campsite at Swartberg Wilds, you acknowledge that the use of facilities and activities, including, but not limited to, cycling, swimming, hiking, and fishing shall be undertaken at your own risk. You shall not hold Swartberg Wilds, the owners, or any employees responsible for any damage to yourself, members of your party, or your property.

Cancellation Policy

Please contact us as soon as possible in the event of cancellation. Our refund policy is as follows depending on when the cancellation is received:

  1. More than 21 days before arrival: 100% refund of your deposit.
  2. 21 days or less before arrival: No refund of your deposit.
